The role of a team leader/supervisor is to manage a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome/objective, providing direction, guidance and instruction to those they manage to ensure their targets are met.
The responsibilities of a team leader/supervisor will vary depending o the size of the company they work for, and what sector they lie within (private, public or third). However, the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the environment.
This qualification is ideal for individuals who are starting out within a team leader/supervisor role as individuals will develop skills in communicating work-related information, contributing in meetings, delivering operational plans, building relationships (internally and externally), and the principles of team leading.
